Marks 1.0 Finally Released!
Well, after a few days of postponing and procrastination (I discovered how much fun it is to play the Halo Demo online), I worked up the courage to release for sale Marks, my teacher's mark book program I've been working on ever since the end of Year 11 for my Software Design Major Project.
I suppose you have a few questions about it - like what hell is it. Well, because my fingers have been copy and pasting like crazy, why not copy and paste one more time and give you the full press release I've been sending to the media:
Kiel Gillard Releases Marks, The Next Evolution In Mark Book Applications.
Coffs Harbour, Australia, July 20, 2005 - Kiel Gillard is pleased to announce that Marks 1.0 has been released. Marks is a new and revolutionary educational application for teachers that brings the ease of use of iTunes to Mark Books.
Recognising the need for a Mac OS X native Mark Book program, Kiel Gillard is making Marks available for immediate download and purchase. The developer asks that teachers provide feedback to improve its quality in subsequent updates.
In addition to announcing the 1.0 release of Marks, Kiel Gillard is also pleased to announce that when Apple releases their Intel-based Macintoshes, a free Universal Binary update will be made available shortly afterwards.
New to Marks 1.0:
• Improved Importing.
• Improved and less ambiguous grading.
• Numerous bug fixes.
• The ability to define application-wide custom task types.
• eSellerate registration and purchase facilities.
